Event Details:
The 48-hour Anti-Racism Film Challenge takes place during February and March of 2018 in Winnipeg. This is because February is Black History Month and in March takes place the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
Teams and individuals who want to participate in the challenge will need to register for the film challenge. The 48-hour film challenge will take place on the weekend of February 16-18. Teams will be required to attend the online meetup on Friday, February 16 and be given a challenge they will have to incorporate into their films. Teams will have until 5:00pm Sunday, February 18 to hand in their submission. Submissions will be 2-5 minutes long and must be related to the subject of racial discrimination.
If the participant is under 18 years of age, they will need written permission from their parent or guardian to participate.

The Anti-Racism Festival takes place every year in a different city across Canada. In 2018, the festival is coming to Winnipeg!
The Anti-Racism Arts Challenge will take place during the month of February and is open to all from Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Participants are encouraged to create art pieces that work to challenge racism. Examples: photos, posters, campaigns, memes, digital illustrations, paintings etc.

For March 21 Red Carpet Showcase:

Event Date: Tuesday, March 21, 2017 (6:00pm)

The Anti-Racism Festival takes place every year in a different city across Canada. In 2018, the festival is coming to Winnipeg! The Festival consists of a 48-hour film challenge (Feb 16-Feb 18), arts competition (Feb 1 - 28) and red carpet showcase (March 21).
The Red Carpet Showcase takes place on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination at the Princess Theatre. The night will be a red carpet event (be sure to dress up) that showcases the completed at 6pm. The event is free of charge, as the purpose is to help mitigate racism by actively allowing citizens to participate and stand against racism.
